‘Because you sometimes don’t realise what you’ve got under your very nose. And you go off and explore and go, ‘do you know what, she was the one’ or ‘he was the one.’

‘There’s all kinds of couples, everyone’s involved, so it’s not your stereotypical show. I am so excited!’

Amanda was previously involved in a love triangle between eighties comedian Les Dennis and nineties sitcom star Neil Morrissey.

She hit the headlines for having an affair with her pantomime co-star Neil, the Men Behaving Badly actor, which sparked her divorce from Les.

Amanda said the new job hosting the show about love and relationships is a ‘dream come true’.

She said: ‘I know! I mean, obviously Netflix, you just go, ‘wow!’ And then this genre is something I have always, always wanted to do. I love the idea of a love and relationship show; I’ve always wanted to do one.’

‘So it’s a fairly new relationship, they might have let that person go by cheating on them. And they want redemption, they want forgiveness and it’s all about us helping them maybe get together and whether or not they’ll make it back.’

Amanda told MailOnline: ‘It is my dream job, if I could have manifested a job… this would have been it.

‘It is the job I have wanted my whole life and it’s finally happening. I’m going to be filming the show over the summer. It is my own thing and it’s the genre of it, it’s what I’ve always wanted.’

The new Netflix series will follow eight former couples as they reunite at a Spanish retreat after their committed relationships ended as a result of someone cheating.
